MyFilm48 VIII: Moscow 2050
Stories of the Moscow of the future, in close-up.
Not a panorama of the city, but a single moment from its life: a journey, a meeting, a conversation, work, home. Nobody shows off technology here — people simply live with it. The hero of the season is a person in a changed city, and everything in it that has stayed the same.
We will publish the details of the creative brief when the competition starts on September 5 at 10:00.
Three tracks.
🎬 Professional — for those who create content for a living.

🤖 AI Agents — a new track: works that autonomous systems create on their own from a brief, with human involvement only at the start. One jury, one set of criteria.
Prize fund: 1,000,000 rubles. The breakdown by track and category will be announced together with the creative brief.
The winners' works will be screened on September 15 at the awards ceremony in Moscow and on September 22 at the AI Hub of the St. Petersburg International Content Forum as part of KinoExpo. We will announce these events separately.

MyFilm48 VI: Industrial Season
Where the power of industry meets the power of imagination
In the sixth season of MyFilm48, participants will create short AI films devoted to industry, industrial development and the future that has already arrived — the visual poetry of factory floors, robots, the scale of engineering thought and the beauty of manufacturing — once again in 96 hours. The season winners will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to present their work in the AI Cinema Showcase program as part of events at the 79th Cannes Film Festival. The screening of the season's best entries and the awards ceremony will take place in Moscow at an event on March 14, 2026.

MyFilm48 V: Bali Season
Where ancient culture meets artificial intelligence.
In the fifth season of MyFilm48 × AI Film Awards, participants will be invited to create short AI films inspired by the culture and aesthetics of the legendary island of Bali — once again in 96 hours. The season winner will receive a trip to the 2026 Cannes Film Market, and the best entries will be included in the AI Cinema Showcase program at the Cannes Film Festival. The winners will be honored in Bali at the three-day AI Film Awards ceremony with international AI workshops, November 7–9, 2025.
The fifth season is a strategic partnership between MyFilm48 and the international prestige of AI Film Awards. For the first time, we are creating something bigger than a competition — a direct path to the world's main cinematic stage!
About the Season
This season is dedicated to one of the most captivating cultures in the world — a place where ancient traditions intertwine with living nature, where every temple holds a legend and every sunset feels like a mystery play. We invite you to explore this culture through the lens of artificial intelligence.
The details of the creative brief, with precise references and directions, will be revealed at the moment the competition starts. Intrigue is part of the process.
Most importantly, your interpretation will be free. No advertising requirements, no brands. Only a cinematic statement and artistic courage within the given theme.
Format
96 hours from the publication of the creative brief. Four days to immerse yourself in the cultural context, develop a concept and create a finished film that matches the details of the creative brief. It is a balance between creative freedom and competition discipline.
Two judging tracks:
🎬 Professional Track — for directors, cinematographers and producers with commercial project experience, film school graduates, and specialists from production companies and studios
✨ Enthusiast Track — for self-taught and aspiring creators, students without professional experience, and everyone who makes films as a hobby or for the first time
Separate judging. Separate juries. Equal chances at the main prizes for both tracks. Each entry is evaluated in its own category — fairly and professionally.
Cinematic quality is the main criterion
We are not looking for merely technically competent works. We are looking for cinema. Directorial vision, visual dramaturgy, emotional impact. Works worthy of the big screen.
Why does this matter? Because the best films of the competition will go where the fate of world cinema is decided.
Grand Prize: The Road to Cannes
✈️ Tickets to the Cannes Film Market (Marché du Film) 2026
Industry accreditation for the winners of both tracks, with access to the world's leading platform for filmmakers (May 12–23, 2026)
🎥 Participation in the AI Cinema Showcase at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival
The best entries will be included in a curated program at the 79th Cannes Film Festival — the first large-scale presentation of AI cinema on the world's main cinematic stage
Critically important: The AI Cinema Showcase program in Cannes will not be limited to the winners. The curators will select the best cinematic entries from both tracks — which means that even if you do not win a prize, your film may still be screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
From competition entry to a Cannes screening in eight months — this is not a promise, it is a roadmap.
🏆 AI Film Awards statuettes
Three statuettes presented to the winners of both tracks at the gala ceremony
The Island Ceremony
November 7–9, 2025
A three-day event in one of the most beautiful places on the planet — where the culture that inspired the competition exists in reality.
Program:
- Screening Ceremony — a screening of the competition's best entries for an international audience
- Gala awards ceremony for the winners of the Professional and Enthusiast tracks
- Pre-party at an exclusive Beach Club at sunset
- Gala Dinner a formal dinner and reception for festival guests
- After Party under the starry sky
- The final adventure — immersion in the nature that inspired the participants
This is not just an awards ceremony. It is a gathering of creators from all over the world in the very place you have just made a film about.
AI Workshop: International Campus
A first: three days with the pioneers of AI cinema
As part of the event in Bali, November 7–9, a powerful AI workshop will take place — a gathering of top professionals from all over the world. Directors, technologists, artists, AI Film Awards experts and jurors will come together to share techniques, show their processes and discuss the future.
These are not lectures. This is a living laboratory where the language of new cinema is being created. Open to all ceremony attendees.
Who It's For
For anyone interested and ready to create, in four days, a cinematic statement about culture that follows the creative brief while preserving artistic freedom. For professionals who want to test their skills on a culturally rich theme before an international jury. For enthusiasts who understand that their first serious work could be screened in Cannes.
MyFilm48 × AI Film Awards is more than a competition. It is infrastructure for the next generation of filmmakers, where AI becomes a co-author and the journey from idea to Cannes takes eight months.
From the creative brief, through the island ceremony, to the red carpet in Cannes!
MyFilm48 Season IV: The Story Continues
After the triumph of the main categories of Season Four, the MyFilm48 story takes on new dimensions!
When the curtain falls on one act, another begins — even more exciting and multifaceted. The conclusion of the main categories of the IV MyFilm48 International Generative AI Film Competition marks not an ending but a new beginning. You now have a unique opportunity to explore three completely different creative universes, each demanding its own artistic language and depth of understanding.
Three Paths to Mastery
In an era when artificial intelligence is becoming not just a tool but a co-author of human imagination, we invite creators from all over the world to immerse themselves in three unique artistic universes, each opening new horizons of visual storytelling.
“RIVE GAUCHE: 30 Years of Giving Beauty” — Timeless Aesthetics
Thirty years is more than just a number in a brand's history. It is an era during which the understanding of beauty has evolved, transformed and been enriched with new meanings. RIVE GAUCHE invites creators to make a visual poem about beauty as a philosophy of life, where every frame becomes a reflection on how aesthetic perfection shapes our perception of the world. Participants will create an artistic statement on the nature of beauty in the modern world.
“KARI: The Universe Within You” — Inner Spaces
Footwear is more than protection for the feet. It is the boundary between a person's inner world and outer reality, a bridge between desire and its fulfillment. The philosophy of KARI's mini-collections reveals the architecture of the female soul: from the sculptural lines of “Shape of Style” to the maternal tenderness of the “Hugs” collection.
This category challenges the usual perception of fashion content. Instead of showcasing a product, participants are invited to create a psychological portrait of the modern woman, in which footwear becomes the key to understanding her inner spaces, desires and aspirations. It is a cinematic exploration of how external attributes reflect the inner complexity of human nature.
“Teaser for the Cosmofleet Series” — Humanistic Cosmism
In an era when space technologies are becoming reality, a view of exploring the universe through the lens of human values gains special significance. Inspired by the works of Kir Bulychev, “Cosmofleet” offers an alternative model of the future in which technological progress serves not conquest but knowledge and mutual understanding.
Participants in this category have the opportunity to create their own vision of a future in which space becomes an arena for realizing the best human qualities. This category is for those who believe that the true greatness of a civilization is measured not by the might of its weapons but by the depth of its humanism.
A Philosophy of Creative Freedom
The additional MyFilm48 categories are designed for those who understand that true art is born not from constraints but from a deep understanding of the task at hand. We are not looking for craftsmen who can reproduce a given template. We are looking for visionaries ready to transform creative briefs into works of art.
Each category is an invitation to a dialogue between human imagination and the capabilities of artificial intelligence. It is a space where technology serves not to replace the creative process but to amplify it and expand the boundaries of the possible.

MyFilm48 IV: Season with RIVE GAUCHE
MyFilm48 Season Four: Space, Beauty and the Evolution of Creativity
The fourth season of the MyFilm48 International Generative AI Film Competition has launched under the slogan “Supernova Aesthetics”! It marks a qualitative evolutionary leap for the project — from an experimental platform to a full-fledged ecosystem for the visual art of the future.
Scheduled for September 18–22, 2025, with the support of RIVE GAUCHE, Synergy University, KARI and MOSKINO, the season brings together three conceptually distinct universes: the beauty and fashion industry with its philosophy of beauty, space themes as a metaphor for the boundlessness of human aspiration, and modern education.
Fundamental format changes: the prize fund has grown to 1,000,000 rubles, and the production time has been doubled to 96 hours, allowing participants to reach a new level of artistic depth. For the first time in the competition's history, a large-scale educational program is being introduced — a series of specialized webinars from AI industry leaders.
The jury embodies a truly interdisciplinary approach: from Russia's top film producers, theater director Andrei Moguchy and Tsiolkovsky's great-grandson Sergei Samburov to professionals in generative neural network development. This is not just a jury — these are the architects of a new visual culture.
But the main transformation is MyFilm48 becoming a hub platform for AI creators. Participants can now create public portfolios and signal their openness to partnerships, turning one-time participation in the competition into a long-term professional path.
In just a year and a half, MyFilm48 has received more than 1,700 submissions from 37 countries, and the third season won gold at the Silver Mercury festival. The fourth season promises to be the moment when generative art finally establishes itself as an independent art form, able to compete with traditional media in emotional impact and aesthetic value.
The creative brief will be published on September 18, 2025 at 10:00 (GMT+3)
MyFilm48 III: Season with KARI
MyFilm48 Season Three: The Triumph of “Advertising as Cinema” and Silver Mercury Gold
March 2025 marked MyFilm48's definitive recognition by the professional community. The third season, held March 1–3 under the theme “Advertising as Cinema” with the support of KARI — Russia's largest footwear retail chain — set a new record and brought the project prestigious awards.
760 submissions from 25 countries (+19% over the previous season) and 181 completed entries confirmed MyFilm48's status as one of the world's leading platforms for generative video art. The season's concept offered participants four creative directions for KARI's spring collection: “Neon and Asphalt”, “Wild Elegance”, “Freedom of Movement” and “The Golden Age” — each requiring a cinematic interpretation of a commercial product.
For the first time in the competition's history, participants received professional photographs of footwear from KARI collections and an exclusive video tutorial by Andrei Gladkov — two-time MyFilm48 winner — who demonstrated cutting-edge techniques for accurate product transfer in AI generation. This marked a qualitative leap in integrating commercial objectives with the artistic capabilities of AI tools.
The partner ecosystem reached professional maturity: RED PEPPER FILM (winner of 100+ international awards), the communications agency SETTERS, Phygital Plus and technology experts from Sber formed a unique jury capable of evaluating entries on every level — from artistic to commercial.
A symbol of the democratizing power of AI technology was the victory of Viktoria Stepanova, a high school student from Novokuznetsk, whose entry “Predatory Elegance: Grace in Every Step by KARI” outperformed projects by professional studios. It was a manifesto for a new era in which talent and technology matter more than formal education.
Professional recognition came in the form of two awards at the Silver Mercury North-West 2025 festival: gold in the “Best Digital Campaign Using Innovative Technologies” category and bronze for “Educational/Cultural PR”. The jurors highlighted “a creative mechanic that popularizes AI and allows the brand to quickly obtain high-quality content”.
A prize fund of 550,000 rubles and contracts with KARI for the best participants turned the competition into a real tool for professional growth. The third season proved that MyFilm48 has evolved from an experimental platform into a full-fledged business model for the future of the creative industries.
Winners of Season Three:
• 1st place: Viktoria Stepanova — “Predatory Elegance: Grace in Every Step by KARI”
• 2nd place: Vladimir Yanpolsky — “KARI: Break Out of the System”
• 3rd place: Maria Pli — “Pino”
The works of the third season's winners and finalists can be viewed in this playlist.
MyFilm48 II: Season with Riki
MyFilm48 Season Two: Five Universes and International Recognition
December 2024 marked a dramatic evolution of MyFilm48 — from an experimental platform to a full-fledged international cultural phenomenon. The second season, held December 7–8, was the moment the project reached artistic maturity.
A groundbreaking decision was the introduction of five independent categories: film, animation, games, music and advertising — each with its own creative universe and partner support. 606 submissions from 26 countries confirmed the transformation of a local experiment into a global phenomenon, and 123 completed entries demonstrated a qualitative leap in participants' skills.
The partner ecosystem gained scale and significance: the Riki Group (creators of “Kikoriki” and “The Fixies”) supported the film and animation categories; the studio XOVP once again served as technology partner; singer Bianka provided an exclusive track for the music category; and the ANO “Sakhalin — Island of Opportunities” presented the competition's first-ever geographic category, with a unique prize package — a trip to the Russian Far East.
The creative briefs gained conceptual depth: from humanized Fixies as students in the film category to epic battles of robots and aliens in the games category. The music track invited participants to create a music video for Bianka's new single “Obnimi i pobezhali” (“Hug Me and Let's Run”), while the advertising category called for capturing the philosophy of Sakhalin as “Russia's lighthouse”.
The jury became truly international: 21 jurors from Russia and Iran, including director Indar Dzhendubaev, producer of the legendary “Masha and the Bear” Dmitry Loveyko, music producer Alexander Tolmatsky, and Iranian specialists led by Mostafa Zabet, Saeed Tarkhani and Afrooz Bavafa.
A prize fund of 500,000 rubles and a gala ceremony at the Museum of Moscow as part of the “Short Film Days” established MyFilm48 as an event of national scale.
Winners of MyFilm48 Season Two:
“Film” Category
- 1st place: Anatoly Geiko — “Autofixes: The Chinese Way”
- 2nd place: Denis Popenkov — “The Fixies. A New Reality”
- 3rd place: Egor Burasov — “The Fixies at the Movies”
“Animation” Category
- Winner: Andrei Gladkov — “A Mermaid in a Studio Apartment”
“Games” Category
- Winner: Egor Appolonov — “Dominion | Supremacy”
“Music” Category
- Winner: Alyona Malinka — “Obnimi i pobezhali” (Bianka)
“Advertising” Category

The winners demonstrated that generative art can create works in any genre and format.
MyFilm48's second season became a point of no return: the project firmly established itself as a leading international platform for AI art, able to unite diverse creative industries in a shared drive to rethink the boundaries of the possible.
The works of the second season's winners and finalists can be viewed in this playlist.
MyFilm48 I: The First Season
MyFilm48 Season One: The Birth of a New Art
May 2024 saw the first Russian generative AI film competition, MyFilm48 — an event that laid the foundation for a fundamentally new artistic discipline at the intersection of technology and cinema.
This pioneering experiment, held May 11–12, 2024 and launched with the publication of the creative brief, attracted within days 303 submissions from 14 countries — from Spain and the Netherlands to the USA and Kazakhstan. Of these, 62 participants made it through the 48-hour creative marathon, producing works that revealed the emergence of a new visual language.
The debut season was built around three creative universes: a mystical trailer in the aesthetics of an enchanted forest, music snippets for artists of Alexander Tolmatsky's label, and a music video for the band Kim&Buran. Each direction required participants not only to master neural networks technically, but to reimagine traditional genres through the lens of artificial intelligence.
The jury brought together legends of Russian culture: Ellen Sheidlin, a world-class artist; Alexander Tolmatsky, the founder of Russian hip-hop culture; director Indar Dzhendubaev (“He Is a Dragon”, “The Master and Margarita”); and Yuri Yarushnikov of the XOVP virtual production studio. It was the first jury in history to judge works created entirely by artificial intelligence.
The winner was Andrei Gladkov with “Winnie: Path of Rage” — a surreal take on a children's classic that became a manifesto for the possibilities of generative cinema. Second place went to Ilya Pronin's “GYSSY-LEBEDI”, and third place to Sofia Bakhmeteva and Pavel Irkhin for their teaser for the nonexistent film “Ozma”.
The awards ceremony held as part of the international forum The Trends 2.0 in Moscow was a historic moment — for the first time in Russia, the artistic merits of works created by neural networks were publicly recognized. Partner support from the film company Bazelevs, the studio XOVP and other industry leaders confirmed the seriousness of the project's ambitions.
The first season of MyFilm48 proved the main point: generative artificial intelligence can create not just technically flawless content, but works with their own aesthetic value and emotional impact. It laid the foundation for an evolution that, in the following seasons, led to the competition's international recognition as Russia's leading platform for the development of AI art.
